Nerja is a small (by Costa Del Sol tourist destination standards) but absolutely beautiful town situated about 45 minutes East of Malaga airport by car. Unlike the noisier and more Anglocised towns to the West of Malaga, Nerja has retained and developed a unique charm of it's own which still seems....well, Spanish!
Nerja is a town where you can easily spend a day walking the streets (though the shops do still shut for Siesta) perusing the dozens of streets and alleyways for a bargain or two! Visitors HAVE to visit the Balcon De Europa! This monument to Nerja is a stunning position to have your photograph taken whilst looking out to see. On a clear day (it always seems to be sunny in Nerja!!!), you can see for miles in every direction, and on a very clear day, the views from the Balcon de Europa extend to Morroco in North Africa!
Eating out in Nerja is great - the main centre of Nerja which is littered with quality bars and restaurants serving everything from Tapas to Mexica, Italian to South American cuisine!
